A Mass General dermatologist is testing an imaging device that will provide surgeons with a more accurate look at a tumor prior to surgery to remove skin cancers on the face.

Cammie Lesser, MD, PhD, is investigating a technique used by harmful bacteria such as shigella to infect humans and trying to reengineer it to provide a helpful function instead.
